Roco Couplings

Hi

I recently bought a Roco loco but it has broken couplings! I have a replacement coupling but cannot figure-out how to remove the broken ones. It looks like there are some plastic retaining "clips" preventing the broken coupling from sliding out of its slot at the end of the bogie. Please see attached photo. Any help / advice greatly appreciated.
