DHP1 Clayton prototype type 3 BB KR Models again

Post by Bigmet »

And here's another one, KR Models looking for expressions of interest to assess if a RTR OO model might be a viable project. This is certainly one of the more attractive prototypes, designed with the centre cab layout that had some sustained success in continental Europe. (By the time it emerged the DE system was decided upon, and the need for lightweight diesel power was also evaporating as the secondary route network disappeared: the type 3 power BR required for freight movement was delivered by the very successful EE type 3, later TOPS 37, which was ultimately able to be ballasted for adhesion well in excess of what a four axle unit could deliver.)
