Hello,
I'm planning to buy a new train for the Kerluk's layout. But which one ? All your replies are welcome.

Top, unless bottom is ridiculously cheap.

I have a science-fiction cartoon, with the title "Man from Mars"
In a shop, a man is saying "How much do you have to pay people, to wear clothes with advertising on them?"

Though I suppose the Hornby wagons could be painted over a more realistic dirty black....

It is your decision, but I would go for the mixed train.

I agree with trainlover23. Simple decisions like this are your decision only and really not something others should decide nor be interested in. I assume such questions arise because of your youngish age but in reality you should make your own decisions based on what you like not what others like. It is your railway and such basic questions are for you to decide.
