91003 Scottish Enterprise

Postby mixturesweb » Tue Mar 19, 2013 8:45 pm

Hey All

I bought a class 91 in GNER livery "91003" with the name "Scottish Enterprise".

Can anyone confirm whether this 91 actually carried this name as I can't find any info on it anywhere.

I can only find that 91019 carried the name.

Cheers

Luke

Models of both 91019 (R2002) and 91023 (R2002A) had the name 'Scottish Enterprise', though later releases of 91023 had no name applied. It is possible a model of 91003 was released with the same name, though I can't say for definite. As far as I am aware only 91019 really carried the name.

Looking on wikipedia and the Class 91 listings, 91003 carried the names "County of Lincolnshire" and "The Scotsman".

There are photo's on flickr but not with it carrying the nameplate you have on your model.

Have a look here...

Is it printed on or is it a nameplate plate ?

I don't believe Hornby actually made it like this ?

Defiantly 91003 with the Scottish Enterprise in the red lettering which is inline with the GNER red stripe
