Seem to be very pleased with themselves if they are on the website this far ahead of the olympic games.. But no sign of release date?

My apologies here George, but this thin looks like an ordinary white train coloured in by my two-year-old lad with his felt pens on a drawing pad........Utterly vile

As is pretty much everything thats been designed for the 2012 Olympics. My company vehicle is supposed to have been reliveried with 2012 graphics, I've told my manager on several occasions where he can stuff them as I refuse to have anything to do with them.

It looks like the Hitatchi 395 Javelin. I won't be bothering with it unless they sort out the Javelins tendancy to shred and shed it's traction tyres.

It might appeal to the box collectors of us though as one of those put it away never to run models purely as an investment.

I think the ONLY reason it exists is purely for the collectors(one's with little or no taste at all).
If this was put in my hands,totally-gratis,I'd still be handing it straight back or hand it on to a charity shop.......

Me too Phipps wouldn't give it the time of day. Although a lot of people I suspect will be thinking the same. If it is a hated model then it might be worth getting as an investment only, as it may become rare because it was so unpopular when released. The graphics on it are hideous, they look like intercity Grafitti livery!

I'd only even consider it if it is to be put on a real 395

I became bored with the 2012 olympics ages ago and they're still two years away. IMO that awful logo and related graphics just about sum it all up.
Why are the locos I want, in the liveries I want, always either non existent, out of stock, discontinued or collectors club only/limited editions?

I used to be with it, but now what I'm with is no longer it and what's it is somehow strange and confusing.

I believe that the original price of the pack was about 150 pounds but Hornby havde recently stated that they forgot about VAT and also because of a slight rise in manufacturing costs it will retail for about 14 billion when it is released. Also it will only have a shelf life of 2 weeks, upon which it will be left to rust and fall apart leaving a long lasting legacy.

Cynical? Me? Surely not.....
High towards the far post,Howard with a header,Hes done it!Steve Howard has scored for Leicester City,Bedlam here at the Walkers Stadium. the Leeds United players are flat out on the turf in utter despair. Leicester City are going to win again
