Re: class 66s gbrf and drs malcom

Re: Bachmann 2010 Products???

I also found the thread on another forum and the Rail Xpress site.

What I'm surprised about is the Bachmann site hasn't been updated..

Or is it just me, can't find it ?

Re: Bachmann 2010 Products???

Gobsmacked... Nuclear flasks are a real surprise but a good addition to support the 37's & 66's, shame no DRS 20, perhaps a Model Rail or Rail Express set is to come. 350 was a shock, look a bit stupid without catenary as will the Class 85 (for my non electric layout anyway).. No Class 59, gutte...

Re: which train goes with China Clay Slurry Wagon

There is a train that runs between Bescot & Newport which returns empties.

The train used to be hauled by a 60 but is always an EWS 66 now.

The wagons are mainly JIA NACCO China Clay Wagons but you also find Silver Bullet wagons mixed in, the first wagon is normally a CargoWaggon.

Re: Noisy Class 66

Depending on how old the model is, despite it being brand new the lube has probably dried out in the shop.

If its a quick fix then great, otherwise its back to the shop...

Re: class 66s gbrf and drs malcom

Just to add to Mr Jones's comments re. FNA Flasks. The usual / normal practice is for DRS to double head all flask trains to x2 66 would look right or even a combo such as 37/66 :D . However there have only been a limited number of flask runs with 66's the norm being double 37's or a 20/37 combo. J...

Re: class 66s gbrf and drs malcom

DRS still run several intermodal services up the WCML and as previously said the Bachmann Intermodals are perfect for that. They also do a scrap run from Stockton to Cardiff, the Dapol MBA's although in EWS are ok with modellers licence to run behined it. The locos have also been hired out to both F...

Re: Bachmann 2010 Products???

Small chance of a 59 I an afraid, their UK management has come out and said on more than one occasion that they won't duplicate an existing adequate model from a competitor; unless they feel they can both make a really significantly better job of it You are probably right Bigmet, however you surpri...

Re: Bachmann 2010 Products???

The problem with the announcement is that we all go WOW or not as the case maybe and then have to wait for another twelve to eighteen months before the products hit the shelves. I guess really clever marketing on Bachmanns part and builds the modellers anticipations, expectations and excitement to t...

Re: Hornby 2010 Product information

IIRC the DVT includes wiring for things like DCC in case you want to control the lighting digitally so you are getting more than just a coach. ;) Ironically you don't need contol on this do you ? White forward / red reverse ! You were right, all about the wallet, I think I will skip them at the mom...

Re: Bachmann Spare Parts

Bachmann Class 158 couplings (OO gauge) are available as spares, so don't see why the dummy coupling isn't I assume you have two of these and only one dummy one The dummy coupling on the front is not a spare because its moulded onto the chassis/body, there is one on each driving end. It can only be...

Re: Hornby 2010 Product information

I notice the MkIII DVT 82150 in Virgin Trains livery is in the shops..

Is this good value at £40 !!!

The most expensive coaches are £30 ?

Or is it limited payback on the tooling ..

Re: Rail Express Models Update

Better late than never...

Hornby are just as bad at the moment with late deliveries, nothing in the pipe line for either of the big two, I wonder whether its the economic situation in China...
