Re: N Gauge B H Enterpises Royal Scot

Theres also an asumption that all the traders know everything there is to know about everything railway related, which simply isnt the case. Its impossible to know everything about every coach, every era, every rake that has ever run etc, and expecting a small trader to know such and then flaming hi...

Re: Lima Class 117

If your looking to remotor the DMU, I can recommend the Replica Railways chassis. Should be a fairly easy swap. Not tried the 121 route, is that a simple plug in? I've butchered many 121's for EMU conversions, but prefer the replica route now.

Re: another newbie DCC question

No worries about the stupid questions, I once wondered the same things. Take a look at these installation guides and go through them all, it should start to make sense hopefully ;-) A normal 8 pin DCC Decoder is all you need for the old Lima locos. http://www.bromsgrovemodels.co.uk/decoderinstallati...

Re: Self design/building kit help?

Hi Dman,

Building looks great. If and when you feel ready to move to the next level, that is, scratch building out of plastic and brick paper, I suggest the following DVD:

As you know, you can agonise about these things for months! Anyway, I'll post some pics the weekend, but theres still lots of work to do, inc final fitting...

Hey all, Yes, the APT was Hornby on Ebay, £102 and runs like a dream, shame the panto isnt fully intact but im sure I can fix it. Im stuck on the fidle yard aspect, and have several options: 1. A fiddle yard 2. A scenic fiddle yard like Hollybank depot. But this means more work http://www.stroleyce...

New to OO, new layout

Hey all, After many years of waiting for things to appear in N, such as an APT Kit, Class 89, 25Kv EMU's etc, and not having time any more to kit build & scratch build (due to wife, kids & business), ive made the jump to OO. Ive put all my stuff on Ebay, but couldent wait to get my money, an...
