Metcalfe Kits in N Gauge

Have just made my first attempt at a Metcalfe low relief shop kit. I found it very fiddly and am having problems getting things to stick. I'm using the glue pens and brushes my wife uses for card-making but the smaller parts don't seem to have enought surface area to give a good bond. Has anyone got...

Re: Peco Pl-11

I have got 4 to come for my new N gauge layout, like you they are in non scenic areas so it wont matter that they are a bit big  The pins need to be trimmed because the carriages/wagons don't have enough clearance on them. My own N gauge consists of 18 and my Dapol collets couldn't get past...

Re: How to add weight to 14xx?

You can't put anything in the funnel because the retaining screw to remove the boiler and, therefore, oil the works, is hidden down there.
Look forward to getting an answer on this one as I foolishly bought two of them!

Re: army base

If you google Kinnegar Drive Holywood you will get a good arial view of the barracks there shows accomodation blocks POL point guardroom etc.

For anyone thinking about security issues the photo is at least 8 years out of date.

I've heard some people use old ballpoint pens with the refill removed for the wire in tube method.

Re: Selby Garden Railway - 53 ft of track base completed!

Stonking progress there reminds me of the early days of the heatherburn. One tip I bought the same small shrubs and they look ok for the first year then they get bigger so I would either plant them complete with the pot to restrict the growth or make sure they arn't too close to the track. Looking ...

Re: Your Favourite N-Gauge model

I don't have enough stock to have a favourite at the moment but can I put my Old West "The General" as my least favourite. Compared to my other locos, even a basic made in china jinty, it looks like a toy. I suppose my blood and custard Dapol corridor carriages are special at the moment ca...

Re: DC Sound - MRC 1025 Synchro Sound Box

I do not have an answer to your question but a couple of months ago I produced a mp3 file of a main line station with varying train sounds. These include long freight, steam and diesel so if you are not fussed about the period I can email a copy to you for free, just pm me if you want one. It lasts...
