I've got railraod A4's and 9F's and think they are both great models and great value too, or they were, the new Eve Star at well over £100 isn't.

Hornby have done some mixes and matches with their Duchess's.I've got all sorts of variations.

Also why has Peco track been the "goto product" for track for donkeys years?, Hornby have plenty of opportunity to make some small upgrades, esp to their points, to make their product competative, they must have lost millions in sales.And still to many items in the catalogue that date back...

Just noticed big price jump in the Railroad Evening Star, up from £85 last year to £120! :o

My premium range one runs just fine.The detail and quality of the paintwork is stunning. I am looking forward to the version with the A4 front end.

Finally bit the bullet and bought a Hornby Golden Shuttle from Kernows stand at the Great Central Railway Show, £50 well spent. :D

You've done a great job there. I see that the under cab pipework there is the parts that are available from Hornby, the sticky out pipe which you are missing is not available, and it's the one that falls off as it gets whacked by the pony truck, wierd that.
