Re: Eastern's Photos -
Perhaps the most iconic livery of US steam. The final shot is good, the steam shows that it is very much alive and the livery is clear too. I wish steam ran more often in Canada.

Re: 47806 Goes Trainspotting
I am in the UK for a quick visit this week! Running on less sleep than a medical student but coping. Kings Cross yesterday with the new Nationalised Express  http://images.fotopic.net/115z3j.jpg This morning I went to see if the RHTTs were still running. Crick Road Update: Nothing to report. IC&L Report: Most of the ballasting is now finished. I have glued down the house and started to work on the factory. I haven't found any suitable kits so I am going to have to build a factory myself. It is going to be a plastic pellet processing plant. http...

Re: 47806 Goes Trainspotting
Now for something completely different. Here is CP Rail train 01H-29, the Canadian Holiday Train. I saw it two years ago in the middle of freezing rain. This year was much better with clear weather, there isn't even any snow on the ground! This was the train arriving in Bowmanville: http://images.fo...

I like the low-light shots. It looks a bit foggy which adds great atmosphere to the scene.

I really like these photos. I have never seen that angle at York before, where do you stand to get it? The light (looks like early morning or late afternoon) is really good and warm.

Crick Road Update: While having breakfast a few days ago, I noticed that the low summer sun was hitting 66068 perfectly for a photo. http://images.fotopic.net/112n00.jpg IC&L Update: I have been building the station kit. It is really a North American platelayer's hut, but the size was ideal for...

GO Train 917 ran "wrong line" from Oshawa to Whitby yesterday morning. This is the train just to the west of Whitby station as it crosses over to the right track to travel to Toronto.

I forgot to mention a second-hand CN passenger coach I also bought yesterday. The bogies are in a bit of a state but the rest is in excellent condition.

Re: 47806's Two Layouts (Crick Road and the IC&L)
Crick Road Update: The track was well-cleaned this week. I have not been running the layout very much and the locos were behaving badly. A good track clean and run was in order and the locos then behaved better. I had to have to clean the wheels, but I may need to. IC&L Update: Today was the an...
