Re: Dapol class 156 northern

I was refering to m8internets comment:

m8internet wrote:There are small amounts of seated people, and these are the ones I have purchased
A bag of 20 is nearly £3, but fitment is much easier

When I said there was no room for actual seated figures. As other have said, buy standing ones and chop off their legs....

Re: Dapol class 156 northern

Have you ever had a look inside a Dapol DMU?

There isn't exactly a great deal of legroom for proper seated figures!

Yeah scatter has a tendancy to do that after it has been freshly glued down, in my experience. It should settle eventually though!

I look forward to this developing. I quite like what you have done with the scatter in that last photo.

Re: Old Warren TMD - the re-vamp has begun!

I always find it is scary doing this, but well worth the result if you aren't happy with the current setup.

Don't know if yo had thought of this, but when I did this i threw ALL the track into a bucket of water overnight to help ballast removal/cleaning.

Re: Casebourne and Lidford (N gauge in a suitcase)

That is certainly an interesting way to plan a layout!

I shall be watching this with interest, space (or lack there of!) seems to be a never ending problem for me.

Re: Bolsover Castle N Gauge Layout.

Update time! I bought a streamline point the other week with a view to seeing what they are like. Having installed on the layout I think this is what I will be using on my next layout, defintely better than the setrack ones I have! Managed a bit of modelling as well. I had a hill top to fill so knoc...

Re: Scratchbuilding megafrets?

True, but that is an exception rather than a norm. If you want a short prototype flat then the DRS Minimodal trials were a Megafret twin set topped and tailed with a with pair of 33s! But again only a short lived trial flow rather than a regular working. Cheers, Mike Quite. But the exception only h...

Re: Bolsover Castle N Gauge Layout.

A lovely little layout you have there, those weathered wagons look spot on to me. I do have one question, where did you get that stagecoach bus from? Or is it scracthbuilt? The weathered wagons are not mine i'm afraid! The Stagecoach bus is scratchbuilt. I downloaded 1/76 Paper bus kits and scaled ...

Re: Bolsover Castle N Gauge Layout.

Love the Units, there's something bout 15x series that just seems right :D I know, they are rather good. I'm on the look out for a 156 at the minute. Looking back at those photos, makes me realise I could do with weathering the yard where I have made recent changes. New stuff stands out too much!

Re: Bolsover Castle N Gauge Layout.

Update time! Holy smoke......has it been a year already? Nope 14 months! Time flys..... I apologise now for the lack of..erm....calendar eye candy! Well things have changed in a year :P Firstly, there have been...ahem....a few newcomers to Bolsover: http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/tucker_cc...

Re: Old Warren TMD - now building up stock

I read this thread end-to-end a couple of weeks back and I have to say I love this layout. Seeing how you have lighted it has made me do the same with mine! :D
