I use Javis mats, various colours, quite well textured easy to cut and shape, no paint needed.

OK not as good as scatter material (which gets into the gears anyway) but it's easier than painting emery cloth and sandpaper believe me.

I wanted to pre order Dapol Western but unsure what retailer to use, it is not clear when H*****s or R***s or M**** R****** Supplies etc take payment, is it on order or on despatch? Anyone? Thanks.

There seems there are ltd editions eg from Steam and Kernow but also some standard issues in blue and maroon from Retailers, price varies a touch but also the Dapol code differs, I want to order a maroon one with small yellow panels, can ...

Right, all cleaned and contact aligned, chip refitted and all assembled again. Pig seems to go ok now except for one section of track around a curved Hornby point, cleaned it, and everything else is good over it except the pig.
