bin working on the tunnel at the other end tonight, just base coat at the moment so you can still see some of the plaster cloth! I was thinking of having a velux? type window fitted ...but could it lead to overexposure of the layout to sunlight and cause buildings/scenery etc to fade?

One of the ideas behind the sideboard layout was indeed to take it to shows, however, me being an engineer an' all, it is too big to get out of the room it is now built in !! doh!

Maybe when it is finished you can pop round for a cuppa and play trains... :shock:

Bridge didn't arrive today so probably not much progress until next week now :cry: Got a wedding this weekend so all will be quiet on the construction front until monday I fear...

Thanks for the kind comments. The rock section on the N layout took approximately 5 hours (split over 2 nights), poly and plaster night one then paint night 2. Hopefully the bridge will arrive tomorrow so I'll be busy installing that (then at least the train can roll again!!). Starting on the roads ...
