Hi Geoff,
is this any help https://www.youchoos.co.uk/Index-Resour ... HeljanCL05 ?

otherwise you really need to work out what those yellow, green and blue wires actually do. Have you got a multimeter?

Re: I had an idea

you can see it going round here That video is private, John. It's about 30 years since, in a case of desperation, I first threw caution to the wind and pulled the cover of a hard drive and I still feel slightly guilty every time I peel off the cover from one. My first job in IT was disassembling de...

Re: My paint is too thin?

old fashioned oil-based ozone nasty wash your brushes out in turps gloss. You can still buy oil-based paints though? In many ways I think washing your brushes in turpentine is better for the environment, as long as you don't pour your old turps down the sink, but I'm not aware of any issues with oz...

Re: My paint is too thin?

Along with my paint collection, which mainly I use for throwing away when they dry up, I have spray cans of Tamiya flat black and flat white as well as a primer which I find very useful for many of the basic jobs (and they keep better).

Re: single push-button points operation - QUESTION

Why stop there? DCC concepts Cobalt IP digital £22.46 and cheaper in bulk. You can use DCC control if you want to but you can also connect a single push button to "toggle" the state of the point and connect LED indication to the onboard contacts. https://www.dccconcepts.com/manual/owners-m...

Re: single push-button points operation - QUESTION

Now all I have to do is build/buy some circuitry to use those teeny-weeny Arduino outputs to tell the points solenoids (let's face it, they're not "motors") which way to through. You could use something like this https://www.auselectronicsdirect.com.au/mos-driver-module-24v-5a-for-arduino...

Re: Wyes

Stopping this topic now as I'm really spending far to much time and effort on it! Damn, I spent so much time doing this I missed that. but here it is anyway. This circuit has one push button to switch to each route and one LED to show when each route is active. Uses a 74HC02 Quad Nor gate You will ...

Re: What have you bought today?

I just purchased a new multimeter because of a recent thread where I mentioned most multimeters don't measure capacitance, so suddenly I wanted one that did. Also the probes broke on my old one.

Re: A Question of scale...

I think, if you can, the two spans should be the same. There may be the occasional geographical requirement to have piers in odd places but I think most civil engineers would try to make the bridge visually appealing and easier to build with evenly spaced piers.

Re: Z21 issue, What am I doing wrong?

page 43 of the manual describes how to set the system to factory defaults.
It sounds to me like the system is not outputing an even signal. When running the train(s) are you able to run in both directions?
