Re: How To Set Up a Web Site???

I am giving WordPress a try. May need a lot of help  Look for a host with one click install (of they might even install it for you) don't go with Godaddy unless you want to install it yourself as, although the install process should take less than a minute, with Godaddy it can take days. Also...

The trucks in the new display case. Now I need to continue my cataloguing exercise and choose what goes in the cases! Chester Fair.jpg the royal daylight tankers were only £3? I've been scouring fleabay for ages waiting for them to come up at a reasonable price with no success. I should go to a fair!

Re: Palitoy Mainline

cheers guys. yeah I've heard about their weaknesses. the main reason why i'm going for mainline is that they are good to look at but most of all dirt cheap! :D I've picked up a couple so far and have been lucky, very good runners and in just about mint condition.

Palitoy Mainline

I've been browsing fleabay and looking at the Mainline stuff on there and as I had a Mainline set when a kid, I've decided to try and build up a collection of this brand but can anyone point me to a website that lists the engines they produced? (pref with pics :))

thanks

Re: I think I need to lie down

Hi all, Lightweights! I paid MORE than that for one of my loco's but then again it was one of only 11 known to exist of an estimated 20 made in error in 1952; Meccano Ltd staff did make mistakes just very few and very rarely. When they did make a mistake it was something fairly noticable and this o...

Tesco Long Eaton had three of the coaches earlier... They were in a dump bin, mixed in with Issue 2.

I've actually been quite surprised by the amount of newsagent's I've seen still with copies of issue one out on display.

British Railways lettering on the side of a loco?

I've picked up a steam engine in black with "British Railways" written in large lettering down the flanks. I'm just curious about the history & the era of when this large lettering was used. Any leads on this please?

Thanks

Re: Anyone Seen This......

In the inside front cover of the magazine, it says that back issues are available for the cover price + 50P P&P :) so the coaches should still be available for months to come at this dirt cheap price!

Re: Anyone Seen This......

Just out of interest when did the bay start up? According to his blurb he's been a seller since 1983, but only sold just over 800 items!! No, he's been a member since 03-Nov-09, i'd guess that the 1983 is a clue to his age! Ebay as a domain name was first registered in 1995 but I don't know when it...
