Yes I will be ballasting all but the bridge at the front and the approaching curves, I'm planning on using a tunnel one side as a scenic break and a concrete bridge the other,,,, Luckily tho ballasting doesn't seem that much of a chore to me, not looking forward to painting the rails or fitting the ...

I don't have one yet but there was an N gauge cam in railway modeller pre built into a box wagon that you plug into USB and download, looked kinda good,,,,

maybe Wire In Tube (WIT) could be an option for the points at the back? i am using wire in tube to operate my points, although most are just a few inches from the operating lever a couple will be 3 feet away and not having to lean will be a great advantage,,,, antics sell the stuff i use its quite g...

My soldering has improved greatly since i started, i had to re-arrange the bridge and add an extra line across it and the soldering took half the time and was twice as neat and no less effective,,, ive found clean surfaces good solder and a well looked after tip worked well,,, i still avoid solderin...
