Re: Modern buses

Bachmann website updated today with images of their new bus range, fully finished. The Leyland Atlantean, National and the Bristol VRs are more than suitable for most modern layouts. I've just done a Class 501 EMU, got the Class 310 on the drawing board and now we have a London Country Atlantean on ...

Re: electra emu overlays

Totally agree about the printed ends. I would like to get some resin cast ones done in the near future if possible. Bob Davis of N Train has done a really nice CAD-designed end for the LT+S Class 302 EMU, so I hope to persuade him to do similar for the 501 and 307. I also have a prototype 302 on the...

Re: electra emu overlays

I've done myself a 501 in Blue/Grey, just 'cos I like them... :D

Here's a shot along with the first prototype of the 312 EMU.

Re: Overhead Lines...

If you're after just a basic single mast, Dapol do a nice set of ten for a fiver. It's the standard BR "Mark 3" support, seen on all electrification projects since the early 70s. For the more elaborate heavy-duty masts and portals, try N Brass Locomotives, who have an extensive range of WC...

Re: Warley 2010

Carl has sent me another few updates today - Dapol had EPs of the Class 121 and 142 DMUs on display along with various painted HST samples. Farish had the Class 101 (4 versions) and unpainted 03 on show. Believe that Deltic also on sale. Hopefully, we should get some better updates this evening from...

Re: electra emu overlays

First class curtains in Mk2 and 3 coaches were bright orange when new but, following refurbishment in INTERCITY days, were a much more muted pinky-grey.

Re: electra emu overlays

I was going to try to use Plasti-Cote spray on a test shell to see if that's any good to seal the sides without messing up the windows. Johnstons Klear has been a favourite for brushing on around the windows but I understand it's no longer available. Just a quick note regarding the orange door light...

Re: electra emu overlays

Thought I'd pop along to this forum and say hello - I normally lurk around on RMWeb and didn't realise what a treasure trove this forum actually is! :D I always appreciate feedback on any of my vinyls, good or bad, so if there are any errors that I haven't picked up, please let me know. I'm always m...
