Re: Digitrax BDL168 Block Detection and Transponding

I use JMRI as my 'brains'

How would JMRI be able to identify which loco is in a specific block via the digitrax hardware?

Thanks
Matt

Re: "PORT MOON" 11x7 OO BR late 80's - February 2018 Update

I stupidly didn't calculate the import tax and had to subsequent pay and ended up paying over the odds for it.

They come up now and then on eBay but my impatience got the better of me.

It was brand new and complete so at least I know it's original.

Re: "PORT MOON" 8x5 OO BR late 80's - February 2018 Update!

I'm going to resurrect this thread and try to keep it updated and hopefully generate some interest. I've moved house and have just started to rebuild the layout into its new room. I've extended it by 3ft but lost about 2ft in width!! I've now got 11ft by about 7ft to play with. I searched high and l...

Re: Dead on shelf.

This is quite worrying.

My stock has been in storage for some 18months now due to personal matters.

Just in the process of rebuilding my layout to get my engines out to run them again.

I hope I don't suffer the same, especially with several of them being sound equipped!!

Digitrax BDL168 Block Detection and Transponding

I am looking to add the Digitrax BDL168 to my DCC layout to benefit from the block detection features. I am also thinking of using the RX4s for transponding. Do the decoders fitted to my loco's need to be Digitrax specific to work with the RX4 and transponding, or will any decoder work? I have a mix...

I have the said hornby lead needed going spare if you do decide to go down that route.

I liked having the select as a second controller

Had a delayed Xmas present arrive today!! :D Bachmann's new Earl Class 'Dukedog'. Put quite simply - stunning. Looks perfect, runs beautifully out of the box and frankly, it's faultless. 8) https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/si0Z0WRv6OXEByjnJXylPMyuO39cLefRpRd6NcEEf7M=w482-h177-p-no https://lh3.googl...

Re: Woolmer and Alfieston - BR/SR OO Layout c.1950's

Plenty more work has been going on with Alfieston and Woolmer. Mainly just trying to keep the loft tidy and some sort of working space to do things in!! I've been having a clearout and move around of some stock as need to reduce how much there is to maximize running and operation. I've decided with ...

Re: Newbie needs help with circuitry

Hi Mike, Good looking track plan and the layout you sent me looks good to!! I agree with both Flashbang and BeeJack as to where to put the power inputs and agree with Flashbangs use of insulated fishplates (IRJ) at the X-overs. I would however, look and consider to make the lower X-over's and then l...

BR double heading

Were there any rules as to double heading combinations of loco's? I'm trying to double head a couple of my loco's to add interest to the layout and various movements. I'm unsure though as to what loco's would, or could have run together. My loco stock includes: BR 2MT - Mixed Freight BR 4MT - Breakd...
