Re: Rob's layout Mk3...

The layouts coming on, and I too love to mix old loco's with new. You just need to be careful what you buy, I've had some great loco's over 20 years old work great once I've fitted a decoder into them and given a clean/oil & then there are those that will become static models on the layout or us...

Re: Potters Lane 00 gauge

I love the canal scene, could I be checky and ask how you did the water effect ? I'm putting a narrow canal scene (or some form of water way) onto my layout and I just need some ideas on what methods are best too use. I assume you just colour this too your own requirements ? excellent work, detailin...

Re: Wordsworth Begins

This morning before going into the loft for some good old fashioned R & R I was reading some old threads on this forum and I was wondering what ever became of these old layouts that had been started in 2006 & 2007 etc etc and then no more updates.... I think I've figured it out, they just ga...

Re: First layout - Sneyd Green Halt

A very good start, and I must admit I too like the Scalescene kits.

Can't wait to see more photo's as you progress.

Re: Wordsworth Begins

Well sometime has past and I must be honest I haven't done that much to the layout since I got the main line secured to the baseboard and DCC power(If only temp supply). I've been busy just making sure that an assortment of loco's run OK without any derailments, and so far looking good. I did promis...

Re: Wordsworth Begins

In reply to Eddscotts question, since I've completely insulated and plaster boarded the loft I've had very little in dust, no more than any other room in the house anyway. Also it's money well spent, before I insulated the loft during the summer period it's been like being on the Sun up there, and i...

Re: Wordsworth Begins

Sorry about the delay in getting this Track plan posted, just got side tracked (Pardon the pun), so here it is. http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss90/yorkshire_pullman/Wordsworth/3DLayoutview.jpg Might as well give this little update, got half the valley sides built on the bridge section, and then...

Re: Rob's layout Mk3...

I also hope to DCC this layout at some point, maybe after Xmas when more funds are available. The idea being that shunting and re-arranging trains would be a lot easier. I am assuming that to DCC the above layout I would simply have to connect each rail to the controller, inculding the shunting lin...

Re: Starlingford - new pics on page 28

Just having a pot of tea after sneaking out of the loft........I just love this layout as it has everything that you can think off.

I just hope I can get mine as good as this one.

Keep on rolling.

Mike.

Re: Wordsworth Begins

Well what can I say, reading all your comments has given me such a big boost so thank you. I've got up early today as the wife is at work and I find this impulse to get into the loft whilst no one is at home, but before I do I need to upload the latest photos as I stated in the start of this thread....

Wordsworth - 00 Loft Layout

I've been viewing the forums for sometime now but I've been a little bit to scared to post anything about my layout, I've seen the standard and I'm not sure if my attempt will match or come anywhere near to these. I then started to think if we all did what I'm doing then there would be nothing to re...
