Black Five in gloss black and full lining pulling a rake of Mk1s in Blue/grey - the black just seems to offset the blue/grey perfectly!

Depends on what you are modelling - for the steepest just look at the inclines on the slate quarries, but no engines worked up and down them. The "main lines" of the slate lines tended to be on a constant down grade from the quarry to the port, not all that steep, as the slate came down by...

Going back to number 1 - there are loads of books out now which cover various areas of the country covering all things from slate to coal to sand - I'd suggest you look for a book that covers the type of industry you want and have a look, they usually include plans and drawings - the Oakwood Press a...

I wouldn't either, but I would pay £100 for it - the quality is excellent and it won't lose its value, unlike Standard Gauge RTR stuff. The thing to bear in mind is that you can't do a direct comparison with Standard Gauge RTR, or even the Bachmann US 0n30 stuff - the market for SG and the 0n30 is ...

If its up to the standard of the HF110C then for £135 it'll be worth it, though as i model German NG I won't be getting one! The Bemo RTR stuff can be over £200!

Can I just add that the T&D 2-6-0T and the Engarth are actually HOe (3.5mm Scale), I don't think Chivers are making it any longer, but there is a rtr version due out soon!
