Hi, and welcome (back) to the N gauge fold.

I like the track plan. Having the hidden area at the back also means less to have to 'scenerise'

Good luck with the progress and look forward to seeing the progress,
John.

Hi Tim, good to see you around again, mate. Hope things are well. Excellent progress there. Lovely work on the bridge and a cracking drop of pointwork for the station approach Seems the felne Health and Safety inspectors are being thorough. Typical of today's society - 4 admin staff to every constru...

Like the videos - and the layout too - especially the cutting and "box girder" bridge in front of the tunnel.

What are the green carriages that the little tank engine is pulling in the 2nd video?

I will be interested in comparing the end results of the 2 methods you're using,

not being helped by England's dismal showing in the cricket world cup! and it just gets worse  At least it was swift in the end... Hopefully I'll get the proverbial kick up the butt soon and get back up to speed. A peruse through some of the layout threads this afternoon, and I'm sort o...

Hi all, no progress since before Easter on the layout. I've been lacking in motivation to be honest - not being helped by England's dismal showing in the cricket world cup! Hopefully I'll get the proverbial kick up the butt soon and get back up to speed. Thanks for the pm about the videos, Michael. ...

Looks more complicated than the last pcb I had to draw for work

Have fun with the soldering - I find it oddly theraputic. Maybe its just the fumes

Couldn't agree more about the "finished layouts" idea. It would be a great shame if this thread were to vanish. Its been an excellent read and I think it epitomises the spirit of this forum. Thanks Gav. I've spent many a happy moment viewing this thread and I will be returning and reading ...

Just check for clearances by running the longest wheel-based stock you intend to run (Probably your longest carriage or diesel) and check clearance by running them over places where stock needs to be able to pass each other without fouling, e.g on a loop or double track curve. Don't know whether yo...
