Hi Mart,

Great videos. I love the sense of anticipation on both as you can hear the trains approaching long before they appear.

Nice smoked spam as well. Any chance of a vid of it running with smoke?

John.

In terms of brilliant ideas, that's up there with the best of them :D

Nice work on the layout as well. That looks very sturdy.

Lovely video, Ron.

Impressive camera work keeping up with the trains at that speed.

Watching them pass the castle was very impressive,

Yeah I know, £300 on tyres for the car today ain't helping either! I drive an old (ish) VW Polo that's probably worth as much as the tyres for yours  Touch wood no major (read expensive) problems so far. Like yours, the layout is also a long term project- for as long as I am in the f...

Excellent as always, Gav. You're retaining the atmosphere of the layout wonderfully. And such quick work too. I see a VERY promising progression here: 1st: All diesel with no passenger stock. 2nd: Well, maybe just the odd carriage or two. 3rd: OK then. A token steam train. 4th: Diesel things for sal...

£350, Paul? Eek! Fortunately I had a lot of the Fleischmann stuff from when I was a kid. Got lucky a couple of times on ebay with some points as well. That's one reason its taking a while to come together - I can't afford too much at one time :( Thanks very much indeed for the comments folks. Tim's...

Hi Tom, Like the track plan - nice long runs there and some lovely sweeping curves. Also, plenty of scope for some mountains and fjords for the scenery. What kind of era are you running? I'm not at all familiar with Norway's railways, so am interested to see the stock. Best of luck, mate, John.

Great stuff, BR. Looks really "miserable" if you know what I mean. I can just imagine the damp and the mist rolling in.

Looking forward to seeing how the tractor ends up. Bet the driver was shocked when the wheels fell off :D

Virtually all the wood and building materials are either bargains or chuck-aways from skips or derelict areas. Nice one. Its amazing what you can find - all of my mdf came from a scrap pile - and it saves on the cost too, which is a huge bonus. Eeh, I feel like I'm the NRM version of Swampy... Wond...

Like the video there, supprised those locos aren't out fo steam running at that pace! The impressive thing is the lack of coal / water stages as well. Not doing too bad considering. I reckon they must be taking nips from the meths bottle when they're supposed to be in bed :D Very nice area you have...
