Re: Old Warren TMD - The Final Curtain

Right - It's been a while since this was updated - and this is likely to be the last update. Old Warren is shortly to have a new owner who is coming down to see the layout in a couple of weeks after our holiday. I don't know if he will take it back with him that day, however he has decided to take i...

Great photos Ollie. Typically they ran while I was at work today.

Re: Where have all the 47s Gone?... Norfolk!

Quite possibly. A DCR 31 is bringing the new mk2s down Tuesday then is supposed to take 47292 back. 47579 and 47580 are staying for the winter so the convoy would only be 47798, 47375 and 47401. Could be a busy 24 hours though.

Re: Old Warren TMD - Interim future is now secured

Not for much longer Richard. Champion has a new owner and is departing next week (to pay for Britannia and provide a bit of holiday spending money), and will be replaced with a Dapol Western once released.

Hadn't thought of trying that Ste. I'd also like to try one of Brit on the move with a railtour.

In the meantime - here's another of my dubbed videos:-

Re: Old Warren TMD - Interim future is now secured

I don't plan on a station for Old Warren as it would make things a bit cramped as mentioned previously. It would also interfere with the operation of the depot, but the exhibition layout planned will have a station and a depot so will expand on the current Old Warren set-up. Old Warren had a visitor...

Re: Old Oak Common Hydraulic Heydays.

So sorry to hear about the mutt. She is getting old as you say but doesn't make it any easier. A pet is a family member after all.

Hope you and Tracey are ok and will keep in touch.
See you soon

Re: Rayne St, Fictional N-Gauge Layout-Sprung Buffers Pg6

Yup, would second the black paint tip (or black insulation tape). Superb work on the scenics. The photos are really atmospheric. The wire fence is a fiddly job (I should know!) but definitely worth the time & effort. It is surprising how everyday items can be used to great effect as demonstrated...

Re: Sudbury-on-Sea (N gauge)

Happy birthday for Tuesday. Looks like a productive day for new stock! Those 67s are great runners and the ride-height spot on. I have the 67008 model plus dummy 67006 and 67026s and have to say these are probably my favourite models of the lot, even though the 67 itself isn't my favourite class. Gr...

Re: Hood-dale Main - Normal service has been resumed.

Wow that's a rare bird of prey you've recorded there on Hood-Dale - certainly one for the bird-watcher's tick-box! Nice to see the Guinness stock starting to build - all you need is a Guinness livery loco to pull them! Great work on the casting of the walls. Looking forward to seeing this layout in ...

Re: Old Warren TMD - Interim future is now secured

Well I do apologise!! :P OK you want an update here we go:- I've always wondered what Old Warren would've looked like in BR Blue days, and thanks to a visit from local boy Shaun Harvey on Monday evening, I now know! :D It certainly made a nice change, and also gave me the kick in the bum I needed to...
