Re: De Ja Vu Competition entry-Park Royal Railbus

Now its time to get this project looking more like a railbus. The body sides were assembled ready to be fitted to the chassis. http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m595/SouthernValleyRail/Railbus/DSCF2463800x600.jpg They were then fitted in place on the chassis and given the first basecoat of BR Gree...

Re: De Ja Vu Competition entry-Park Royal Railbus

I don't want to demean your choice of subject but the Park Royal Railbus. to me, always conjures up an image of being built and entered by a team from Scrapyard Challenge, sort of top heavy and unbalanced, like if all the punters decided to sit up front behind the driver it would tip up when he app...

Re: De Ja Vu Competition entry-Park Royal Railbus

Ok time for a bit more progress. Firstly I had to shorten the chassis sideframes slightly as they didn't quite line up with the bogie. I cut out a small section from the least noticeable part of the bogie and glued them back together using the cut out bit strengthen the join. http://i1133.photobucke...

Re: De Ja Vu [Oh the Irony] 04 Dockside

Great idea Chris, I think no one has though of doing a model version of the Bachamnn box picture so 10/10 for originality. It should be simple enough to do and could be done before the competition ends(so you may be one of the few to submit your entry). Good luck and I will keep an eye on progress. ...

Re: SVR Workbench-Bluebell P Class

Exellent work Deeftrundle you can see that the Bachmann chassis and kit look better than my efforts. I suggest you could set up your own thread either in the kitbuilding section or the model railway photography section to put photos on rather than put them on this thread(not that I have a problem wi...

De Ja Vu Competition entry-Park Royal Railbus

For my entry to the DE Ja Vu Competition I am going to have a crack at the Dapol Kit for the park royal railbus. As for the competiton you need a photo of the scene or item of rolling stock which you are trying to recreate here is mine. http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic.php/212731/parkroyal.jp...

Re: SVR Workbench-Bluebell P Class

Deeftrundle The whistle I used was the original whistle which came with the Caledonian Pug loco which I used as a donor. Mainly trains do whistles and maybe one of these may be a usefull alternative. http://www.mainlytrains.co.uk/acatalog/4mm-loc-boi-whistles.html For mine I have just gone by what l...

Re: Kit built coaches

They could be Roxey mouldings kits as they do a kit for ex LBSCR pull push set and I think their kits are brass.
Hopefully once you put some photos on someone can tell you more.

Re: Decoder for Tenshodo motor bogie

Thanks for the advice Essex2Visuvesi I went for your method in the end. It took me a long time to get round to it but now I have successfully chipped up the bogie. The chipping up was simple enough but the job of getting the motor bogie in and out of the built kit took a little longer to figure out....

Re: BMR Workbench - Baxter, B4, USA, O2, LNWR observation Ca

A fantastic model, you should be really proud. Saved the best P Class to last. I am intruiged when you said the Last P-class I will do for a while is complete. Does this mean you will one day update your others so they have detailed cabs ect or will you be making more P's? Saying that though it prob...

Re: More ebay beauties

I mentioned it before but since then it has been relisted and reduced.
Though it is completely useless as it can't carry passengers or couple to anything so why anyone would want one I don't know.
