i was just looking at the coloured houses, do you reckon they would suit a seafront layout, i'm thinking of doing minehead inspired layout, still in planning stages, and those look perfect

had a great idea for motorsing turntable. use a drill. that would make it get a move on, and make the driver rather dizzy to i would imagine

sounds good. having not seen the scraped off stuff, could you use it as scatter as well if you painted it green just and idea

i'll have you know my sand method is very good, i sieve that too

still sounds to much of a faff to me, besides, i don't know any carpenters

i told you PVA is the best adhesive known to mankind, i buy it by the bucketful

without PVA, there is caos

this stuff costs a fortune if you're planning to cover a large area, for other uses, i use watered down pva in an empty spray

why not just go to the beach. theres loads of sand there of varying coarseness. or am i missing something

So now I can get on with all the builds that I've let slip. No more clearing the dining table every time I finish a part I can just leave it all on the bench. i have a simalar setup, but becuase i know i don't need to clear the table, often i end up with little room to start something new. oops!:lol:

bad luck on being demoted to the lounge, good luck with your next railway project in the shed. meanwhile that weathering is pretty good. did you use paint or pastels. i know some people who use both.

i'm in the loft and i don't have too many problems. if i'm not up there for a few months, it does need a bit of a clean to get everything going again, but as long as i use it fairly regularly, it's fine. Also i bring the engines and rolling stock down if i know i won't be operating for a long period...
