Re: Lumsdonia

G'Day Gents Wow, they look good, perfect for leaving one in the middle of the road, I've had to dodge more than one in my time.  manna Could be an idea for a cameo, car parked askew, door left open and a guy way back down the road picking up a bit of exhaust pipe in the middle of the roa...

Re: Lumsdonia

Well a new chapter has started for Lumsdonia! After mulling over the idea for the past 5 years, i finally bit the bullet and bought a 3D printer. I have been putting it off as I knew it would take over my modelling life and I am proving myself right! I have spent the whole week doing nothing else bu...

They certainly are. An investment that cost me as much as my 500 seated passengers for carriages!

Re: Micro layout in O-16.5

I echo E2e's sentiments.
It may only be a small layout, compared to some ones we see on here, but given the current environment, it has certain sped along! [3 months, not 3 years]

Re: MIDVILLE JUNCTION Modern 00

Cool, thanks Dan It is as I expected, some are available that can go as low as 0.8V out, but most need about 5V minimum in, which theoretically is a problem, as some of the Faller vehicles run on 2.4V! But obviously some one has tried and had success, so we can follow and ignore the tech specs! :D I...

Re: MIDVILLE JUNCTION Modern 00

It looks very good Dan! I am adding metal wire in the roads as I go, building my layout. Recently, I saw a vid about reducing speed, they took out one of the two batteries in a bus, makes charging more difficult as you have to charge two together. Obviously you can add a resistor (which may well get...

Re: Hawick via Grantham, Inverness and SIAM (00 gauge DC)

Don't forget that the real downpipe is made from even less bendy cast iron, so any turn will have been made up from separate pieces each having a collar, so you'll need some paper bands around the pipe to represent the collars. Here is my method to add the "joints" https://www.youtube.com...

I can't really take credit for that, apart from adding the glass and painting, it's a kit from Scale Model Scenery :?

Re: PNP's O-16.5 Workbench

Must be the first time I have seen real upholstery used in model carriages :)
It's coming along nicely, great to see a decent rake on a narrow gauge model too, is the platform long enough?
