Re: Dmu lights etc with dcc

When they are fitted with a decoder, you can switch the lights on or off. The front and rear running lights are switched on and off with f0 (function zero), cab lights (if fitted) can sometimes be switched off with f3. The F3 function is wrong because that is used to control the loco's shunting spe...

Re: Bachmann 47s

There is a suggestion within this thread http://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=27764&p=342999&hilit=cab+function+f3#p342999 that the F3 function key may be the answer. David The F3 function is clearly wrong because that is used to control the loco's shunting s...

Re: Bachmann 47s

:? :? :? I have recently purchased new, two Bachmann Class 47 Loco's both have switches underneath that operate 1 cab lighting and 2 rear lights. Both models rear lights operate OK when switched but neither models cab lights work when switched on, I am running DCC. New to the hobby so would appreci...

Re: Bachmann split chassis poll

I voted for the LNER J72 0-6-0T because it would have been a nice loco if the wheels hadn't been "all over the place" as mine are! :(

There is a good one across the road from the Grosmont station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. I assure you that both are well worth a visit! :D

That's precisely what my wife said too! I wanted to show her the good photos of the beautiful Metcalfe church, but she seemed more interested in that clock! Women, eh! :D

Re: pva application

I made a glue applicator that didn't need filling every now and then. It was made from an old battery hydrometer with a little piece of brass tubing on the end to help me control exactly where the glue should go. I know you asked for something other than a dropper, but this contraption really works ...

Re: East Cheltwell

Welcome to the world of Zephyr users! :D I'm sure you will like it more and more as you gain experience with it! I made a small shelf to mount mine on the railway fascia panel so it wouldn't take up valuable layout space. Just a suggestion! http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u138/rosenblad_ph...

This is where I have put the signal box, a Superquick kit of course! A small wall and some fir tree's, touch of scatter and hey presto....needs some fencing and I'll be pretty happy with it...

This is looking great! You really mean Metcalfe of course - not Superquick!
