Re: Modelzone in administration

Shame about all of that, but plastic model builders are gonna be in trouble for there Hasegawa kits then as Amerang is the importer. Plus the only place in the UK to get spare parts for there model kits. Damn what a shame. I only ever use Modelzone for there sales but online as there is NO store nea...

Dapol wagon question

I got my self a Dapol Truck/wagon/box car not sure the correct term. I noticed that the box part is not glued to the truck part? Is this common with Dapol? What's the best way to glue it?

Re: Should I use Peco OO Streamline code 100 or code 75?

I had the same problem last year on what track. In the end I am going code 100 streamline so that I can use the Hornby stuff I have as well, my decision was mainly due to costs and the fact I already had a heap load of Hornby and peco already. If I was starting from new and money was not a problem I...

I do love this layout i am hoping to use your ideas on my layout. I do have one question, while looking at your fantastic station i was wondering how do the passengers get on and off the station? Or am i missing it?

Re: Problem with 36-557 decoder

Well the bachmann decoder went back for a refund. I ordered a Sapphire the otherday thats arrived so all is well. But i think i am gonna have to start shopping around for decoders as £25 each time i get a new loco is gonna get expensive. I did find a place that did Lenz decoders at a rather nice pri...

Re: Problem with 36-557 decoder

Well i am unhappy by the whole experience so i am sticking to Hornby and Lenz for my decoders from now on. I just thought £15 for a decoder almost on par with the Hornby Sapphire was a pretty good deal. As they say cheap don't always pay.

Re: Surprisingly good/bad

Bad: Bachmann Class 150, even though it has a nice scheme and runs like a dream i was disappointed by the one carriage with seats while the power unit has a solid black block on plastic inside it ruins the look of the train. Good: Bachmann Class 205 Thumper, i have not managed to run it on DCC yet a...

Re: Problem with 36-557 decoder

Thanks for the reply, Hattons have said that i can send it back to them for a refund or a replacement. As it seems to be the actual problem on the brand i might contact Bachmann as well. Let us know if you hear back from Bachmann.
