Re: Terrier's Shed №2

Shame kit I am afraid but they have tried to dress it up and charge more for it. Still a good kit though, if you can get it to go together which you seem to. Keep us updated.

Re: "Daunton Junction". OO Gauge.

Thanks for the idea but I have nowhere to lay the boards out, so I have to wait till they are up. As I said the boards are in 5 pieces and are measured as: 1) : 4.5ft x 1.7ft 2) : 4ft x 2.2ft 3) : 4.8ft x 2.2ft 4) : 6.2ft x 3.2ft 5) : 5.1ft x 2ft Not very big space as it's going around the bedroom a...

Re: "Daunton Junction". OO Gauge.

I thought I update my thread, there has been no progess on boards or track plan yet as my helper (stepfather) has had back problems, he had surgery on his back last year but still seems to be bugging him. So I am sitting here waiting, I would do it my self but due to my own medical problems I am not...

Attaching PE whats the best way?

I wasn't sure where to put this so here is better than nowhere. I have some PE name plates I want to put on my Class 205, what is the best way without damaging the Paint work or getting glue everywhere? I never used PE before so not sure the best way.

Re: Terrier's Shed №2

Looking good there bud, watch out on the ship build, I built years ago about 2000/2001, it is a little messy on the fit on some parts. I can't remember what I did with mine but it got to painting stage and I had enough that's how bad it was back then. But considering it was made my Matchbox before b...

Re: Just had to vent to people who would understand...

I wasn't bad mouthing Kernow as I love shopping with them, I will continue to do so. Plus by saying "Bachmann Class 205" most know where it comes from. As for the courier I think it was DPD (not 100% as I wasn't paying attention to the van).

Re: Just had to vent to people who would understand...

Normally I do check but on this one I left it. Trust me I am kicking my self. I have vowed to my self to check every model I get from now on. I have never had a problem with Bachmann or Kernow till now but then I cant say for sure if it's them, the courier or me.

Platform ramps...

Ok me and my stepfather have been trying to debate how best to do it and in the end I thought I ask here. My platforms will be made up of 2 pieces of 9mm thick MDF glued together to make it 18mm high off the baseboard, that is the correct height for OO right? This where I hit a dead end, I am not su...

Just had to vent to people who would understand...

Ok I have to say this to get it off my chest: I brought my self a Bachmann Class 205 from Kernow Feb or March, I never checked the model, (wish I did now). I paid for next day and I remember the courier swinging it as he walked to the door. Anyway getting off topic... Well I opened it yesterday as I...

Black 5

Ok I have read/viewed reviews about the Premium Black 5 and that any railway modeller has to have a Black 5 in there collection. So I thought I have a shop around, went to my normal places and all I seem to find is the Railroad or the DCC Sound models. Now I wouldn't mind the DCC Sound Black 5 but t...

Re: Hood-dale Main - proceeding nicely at last!

The Bachmann decoders play up even for the Bachmann set up, I now only use Hornby Sapphire. Although I am planning on upgrading to the Hornby E-Link system. As for your layout looking forward to seeing more done.
