Re: Pedanticmongrel's New O Gauge Layout

Spent hours and hours shunting in the yard with the 1361 whilst goods trains ambled round the loop behind the 78xxx, with the 1361 occasionally picking off wagons and changing them. Once you get up to Gauge O and above shunting really becomes a true pleasure with sensations that I don't believe you...

Re: Pedanticmongrel's New O Gauge Layout

I do like the way that you have kept the track plan relatively simple and uncluttered giving an impression of space - I think the layout looks far bigger than it probably is.

Enjoyable video - I like your 'magic' 3-links

Re: Locomotive depot N

An interesting and different model - is it to your own design or based on a real one that you have seen? What did you make the depot from - is it plastic sheet? Material - plastic. I unpacked windows on films for jet printers. Special.... Paint used acrylic which use women for manicure. On properti...

Re: Pedanticmongrel's New O Gauge Layout

You've made a very neat job of the tank wagon - did you use an etch primer?
Like the new loco too.

Re: Pedanticmongrel's New O Gauge Layout

I really like the sweeping curves and curved points giving access to the loco shed.
Are you going to have a coaling facility of some description and a water tower?

Re: Pedanticmongrel's New O Gauge Layout

Love the interior lighting.
The shed is so big it makes your GC loco look like a RH&DR miniature

You keep showing the 56xx .... the more I see it the more I like it and having borrowed a few books from the library on the railways of the Welsh Valleys doesn't help much either

Re: Pedanticmongrel's New O Gauge Layout

That is a pretty mouthwatering sight 8)
Those Heljan O Gauge kits are tasty but it will take a few tins of Humbrol to paint!

Are you going to detail the shed interior and install pits etc. ?
I'd love to do a large scale shed scene complete with workshop, tools, stores etc......

Re: West Lulworth in O

Whilst that is a big OUCH! luckily she didn't sustain any creases to the boiler or cab which may have been beyond reasonable repair.
A total strip of a soldered loco wouldn't be much fun!

Re: Pedanticmongrel™'s O Gauge (Loco & Stock on tour)

Sorry to read about the Q1 mishap but other than that it looked like a great day out.
Really enjoying the DCC sound in the steam locos now too.
