Re: Blooregards N Gauge layout "Adamson Park"

Really enjoyed reading through this thread so far and I'm loving your weathering and attention to detail.

Also your pics of the Grafar 04 forced me to make my first N Gauge purchase for many months (maybe even over a year!)

Look forward to seeing the layout progress

Re: New N Gauge begins construction

This has the the potential to be an impressive layout, you are certainly lucky to have so much space to use.
...And WOW, that is going to be some viaduct

Re: A truly British Layout, constructed in France

Whilst undergoing another lull in my modelling activities I am finding that looking at layouts like this keep me going. This is in some ways what N Gauge is all about to me. I really like your new diesel depot and love the gently curved track in the background. Does anyone remember 'Millthorpe Junct...

Re: My 6x4 layout. more than just a trackmat

Roadworks... I like the hole in the road though. Looks like your boys in blue are busy again too  Why not build a derelict station to go under the flyover? you could have a platform with the edging stones removed to allow clearance and boarded up buildings to give the height and visual s...

Re: Resurrected N Gauge Layout

Thanks guys 8) Whilst the track plan is very simple I am pleased with the 'open' and spacious feeling of the layout despite it's small size. Sadly didn't get a lot of creative modelling done this weekend but I did spend a while tweaking the points to improve running and prevent stalling/slowing over...

Re: Resurrected N Gauge Layout

Thanks allesclar  , I think that I'll carry on and finish the layout now and use it to practice and develop various modelling skills, techniques and ideas. I'll probably then play with it....er I mean run it for a while  and also use it to try out some more model photography. Although it ...

Overall view....there you go.... http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x210/barney_leadhead/N%20Gauge/IMG_1553-1.jpg GaugeMaster Combi just seen at the top right controls one circuit and a GM hand held can be plugged in either side to control the other, this allows the layout to be run by one or two pe...

Re: Resurrected N Gauge Layout

Thanks again guys :D Whilst I wasn't actually aware of it when I began constructing the layout, Hadley Wood station on the ECML is located between two tunnels and there is also a road overbridge in front of the south tunnel entrance, spookily like my set up  ..albeit without the curve though ...

Re: Resurrected N Gauge Layout

Thanks again for the welcomes and all the kind comments gents :D There are some fantastic layouts and models on this forum and I am pleased that people have taken the time to look and comment at my first effort for some time. I know exactly what you mean about the ballast David, it is Peco and whils...

Re: Resurrected N Gauge Layout

Many thanks for the kind comments and the welcome guys  I'll post some more pictures as I make more progress with the layout. I'm just deciding whether I should re-wire it differently to suit my needs, maybe some sections for shunting movements and the two controllers wired as cabs...we'll see...

Re: My 6x4 layout. more than just a trackmat

Great looking layout Hammy. I really like the mix of old and new and many of the scenes reminded me of much cherished images from Hornby catalogues from days gone by. The temporary bay siding, mirror at the back of the diesel maintenance shed to add depth are nice touches for set pieces and the blur...

Resurrected N Gauge Layout

Hello, My name is Christopher and I've been railway modelling on and off for over 30 years. I've been lurking on this forum for a while now and seeing all the great layouts on here has given me the inspiration to dust off (literally) my N gauge layout. I was originally making this for someone else a...
