Southern Region EMU

I have a Hornby 2-BIL number 2142 and it looks a bit lonely. I would like to add 2 extra coaches, but which ones would be suitable. I could add another 2-BIL or 2-HAL set but as I am purely analogue and have no intentions to go to DCC would 2 motors on a 4 car set work. I have seen sets advertised w...

Re: newbe

Don't try to run before you walk. Decide upon a location and the size and shape of the baseboard. Don't use the first idea. Ensure the access and power points will be in the right place. You can change the plan at this stage before pouring money in. It took me about 3 months before my 1st hardware p...

You will only need 2 rail joiners per length of track, so that 3 lengths will need 6 joiners. R4790 Autocoach

I want to add some seated passengers to the above but am unsure as to how to remove the roof or coach sides. As it is brand new I don't want to break anything by being too ham fisted. Any help welcome please

Re: 4mm scale pre-1960 lorries

lledo cars are 1/43 scale but most of the lorries at 1/76. There is a railroad range latterly taken over by Corgi that are suitable for OO gauge. but tend to be big lorries with trailers

Re: 4mm scale pre-1960 lorries

Try lledo models on eBay or a swapmeet. all sorts of lorries and eras. They can be really cheap especially the unboxed ones

Re: Preowned windfalls

I once knew a guy who only collected locomotives. He had cases around the walls filled with them in all different sizes from n to oo. He had no interest in layouts.
