Re: electrics quandry

I have 3 pcb's with switches on the top and the power cable entering from the front. As they cost about £18 each I am lathe to ditch them. a small box with a hinged lid to hide them would be ideal as they are powered by a 1 amp 12v dc transformer then linked together to act electrically as one long ...

Over time I have been adding mainly lights to my layout and am getting to the point where there is a mass of wiring that needs to be tidied up. Most of the switches are on circuit boards that have holes on the corners. I would like to encase them but a unsure as what to use to screw them to. Do I ju...

Re: co-co derailing

Thanks for the replies. I am not able to relay the track, so as all the other rolling stock navigates the bend with no problem I think I will retire the diesel and stick with steam locos and a couple of dmu/emu's. Bit of a cop-out but heyho !!

co-co derailing

On my outer loop I have some flexitrack with a join on a bend. I cannot change the track. I have a class 60 diesel that when it goes over the join one set of wheels on each bogie derail. It is the only diesel I have and all my steam locos traverse the join ok. By eye I can see that the join is not a...

Re: Great Electric Train show

Got 3 old coaches for my heritage train. Also saw the Hornby 2019 Christmas wagon for £14.50, a lot less than the adverts on eBay !!
It was a lot less crowded than Ally Pally which made the day pleasant
And I entered the draw for the Hornby Coca-Cola train set
