Re: 'End of the Line' Exhibition Layout

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b144/mattonline/SteamLine.jpg Ideally, for the bracketed entrance signal you would need 3 arms to signal the route either into platform 1, 2 or 3. The lower the arm means a subsidiary route. If they're all the same height, they have all the same significance. Aside...

Re: Loftfordshire³

Been looking at the layout. Would probably need a little more information about the lines and the direction they're going to be used before putting in Signals and trap points etc. Assuming they'll all be bi-directional?

Re: West Lulworth in O - New Videos Pg7

Some running at West Lulworth coming up this weekend. With the line hardly used since the weather turned, this will be an interesting opportunity to get some "winter" running in, with several new locos arriving on the scene for either static display or running in/first turns in service, ex...

Re: Horsted Keynes - East Grinstead, OO, A New Loco.

I'm loving your progress. I must say the vintage weekend was nice from what i saw. They had a train with the birdcage brake, 3 4wheelers(riding them goes 1.2.3.BUMP!) and a LSWR bogie brake, and the metropolitan set with the observation car(which really needs an overhaul!) but other than that it wa...

Re: Southern O Gauge Loco's - information required please

First up is an LBSC E1/R class probably an MSC kit or an old Home of 0 gauge one. Next an LSWR O2 tank maybe an Alan Gibson kit or Shedmaster. Next: Adams Radial, Martin Finney or also Shedmaster. SER Crane Tank by no idea! Terrier by Zero Zephyrs or Roxey Mouldings 2 SECR P Classes, not sure their ...

Re: Starlingford - Picture Perfect, pg 103

Both valid points, Dan and Gavin, However in both cases there are slight flaws. A milk train was rated at higher speeds than the bog standard brake van, and would often be seen with a BY of some sort (my Southern milk train had a SR Van C on the end), as this was able to travel faster. Though milk t...

Re: Castle Cross - 1st Commission progress (P51)

Don't need an air brush... to get a good finish it all starts at the beginning surface prep, making sure its smooth, clean and level. If you use an airbrush on a crap surface you get a crap finish. As i was told once, building guitars and finishing them.. 99% prep, 1% brush. Brush finish airbrush d...
