Re: Wordsworth - 00 Loft Layout

Hi John, That's exactly what I was hoping for, I loved my old layout but with this new version I've aimed at using less track work to give a more open feel. Once I can extend down off both sides of the base boards I think it really will give the layout the space it requires, trains will look like th...

Re: Wordsworth Card Kits - FREE downloads

Hi Troopers, Just a very quick whirl wind update, finally I've uplaoded the Pringleton storage tank kit as many have been waiting for this, remember this is one of those kits that can't be resized or will work outside the UK as you need a Pringle potatoe chip canister as the base which you just cove...

Re: Block Signalling Module

Hi Gents, Well some good news I've got the unit to respond to a locomotive. All it took was a tiny white adhesive label under the model. I still don't understand why the range works fine on the workbench, I can pass a piece of plastic 95mm from the sensor & it triggers the signals. For some reas...

Re: Block Signalling Module

Hi Gents,

Just thinking out of the box so to speak. I assume the infra red sensor is basically an electronic switch? Could I remove this & add a push to make contact switch to trigger the signal cycle ?

Cheers Mike

Re: Block Signalling Module

Hi Gents, Some great tips & ideas I can try later. Regards the lighting I have fluorescent fittings so it could be these interfering with the infra red detector. Also the signal & sensor are at the other side of the layout from the window. When the unit does work I had to place my finger dir...

Block Signalling Module

Hi Gents. I've just spent two hours with the blocksignalling module & a set of CR signals. I've got the unit all powered up & the signal to work. Where the unit fails is when I run a train over the infra red sensor it fails to trigger the sequence. If however I place my finger over the senso...

Re: Wordsworth - 00 Loft Layout

Point problem. Check the back to back measurement should be about 14.55 mm. I had a problem with a lot of stock jumping at the frog points on peco streamline . I had to widen the space between the wheels this cured the problem. Could work for you. Hi Jeff, I used a back to back gauge I bought from ...

Re: Wordsworth Card Kits - FREE downloads

Hi Brian, Nice work with the Ultra low relief factory/warehouse fascia, the modification showing an interior adds a nice touch. OK I've take your request on & this morning I've created some brand new windows for this unit which you print onto transparent film, there are four designs to choose fr...

Re: Wordsworth Card Kits - FREE downloads

I did upload the Prince kit as not sure if it was worth it as it will only be good for UK sized prince cans. Maybe I'll upload with a warning for UK only.

Plus it's one of those kits that can't be resized due to the fact the inner core is a prince can.

Cheers Mike

Re: Kerluk's layout

Any size layout is a layout so don't worry about the size, it's the enjoyment it brings that really counts. I'd be tempted to run a backscene diagonally across the layout with fake tunnel portals to run trains through. This way you could do a small town scene one side, the other a countryside theme....

Re: Wordsworth - 00 Loft Layout

Hi Geoff, I wish I could focus in one erase as it would make life so easy, my problem is I like them all hence come to Wordsworth expect anything....LOL Regards the frog area it is so much smaller that's why I thought this layout I'd give them a whirl, they look better. I know I waffled on in the or...

Re: Wordsworth - 00 Loft Layout

Hi Gents, First many thanks for all those nice comments, it's nice to know Wordsworth is still being inspected by fellow modellers. Well this layout is certainly testing me, the track work has been down for ages now, 10 different locos have been used to test the full thing before the ballast work st...

Re: Starlingford - Say Hello in Glasgow, p133

Hi Gav, I've not posted any comments for a while so I thought it was time rather than just popping in & viewing your wonderful layout & super fleet of LNER stock. I just love browsing through your photo's as it's amazing how much I've missed on previous viewing. So thank you for taking the t...
