This is looking very good, you have a huge amount of operating interest there which will obviously keep you busy for hours, I totally agree with the idea of big town over the top of the loop to give the layot an urban feel but of course it is your layout.... Update to layout, I have been working on the track down by the engine sheds, the head shunts were to near the end, so moved them nearer the centre of the layout. Improved some turnouts, added another two. Still need to move another set on the left end to the right shed. Added a new loco, Bachmann 3...

Its DCC, The Ballast will be Woodland Scenics, I tried some out in the corner here's a pic BTW, I don't know if I am going to fully ballast http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm67/deltatango301/layout361.jpg ballasting looks great 8) ,you should ballast the whole layout as it makes so much differen...

code 75 track has a finer rail and correct sleeper spacing and code 100 has in correct sleeper spacing and a higher rail.
if i knew this then i would use peco streamline code 75 instead of hornby code 100. :)

like the plan,the laoyut is coming together nicely.i am using metcalfe kits to fill in my corners and sections with no plans to make an industrial scene,there great!. :D
what controllers do you use?
i use 4 gaugemaster combis. :)

if the shed is only used for the railway then does it matter then? :? i like the idea of a fiddle yard under the baseboard,i am thinking of using this system with a spiral ofr the trains to reach the higher level railway.can you see my images of my layout under construction.the adress is on arpley r...

by the way lov the retaining walls,the wills items look more realistic than the skaledale items,havent seen retasining walls like the skaledale ones before. :)
