Re: Loughborough Great Central Railway

I was thinking of selling it recently actually because I wanted to invest in a 61xx and renumber it as 41xx 4141 or 51xx 5199, I bet you can guess why I was thinking of those examples, there is a picture of N2 4744 on my layouts website in the locomotives section. link to the website should be below.

Re: Loughborough Great Central Railway

nice plans you got there and i see some parts coming along nicely, but you've really got a hard task in finding some proper GCR locos, such as 11F 506 Butler Henderson and 8K 63601.

Re: Wenchford

The proiority is to finish all track laying and route building asap, a large taskall depending on when money allows etc, i'll be going into my local model shop and asking for a complete box of Peco flexi track again, the look of happiness on the guys face is priceless! Anyway I aim to have all lines...

Re: Wenchford

I have started a website about Wenchford, there isn't much on there at the moment apart from an old video of it's early stages but hopefully more will be added soon.

Re: Time to Tear It Up & Start Again ! New Steam Layout Pla

cool, well that'll have to be the next purchase after the T9, I already have it pre-ordered and it's not gonna be cheap, especcially seen as I just got a bachmann 9F, Hornby King and Bachmann 4mt 2-6-0. I swear I'm addicted to this hobby. anyway good luck with the layout (Y).

Re: Time to Tear It Up & Start Again ! New Steam Layout Pla

actaully you'd be suprised just how much fun the novelty of running a pug is! but i get what you mean, it's not your thing. Whats the hornby Arthur like? I read good things but never asked anyone who owns one, I'm thinking of getting 30777 but it's going to be an expensive investment without a recom...

Re: Time to Tear It Up & Start Again ! New Steam Layout Pla

2nd and 3rd radius curves are a bit tight aren't they tho for running engines such as Duchess' Arthurs A4's etc, the front bogie on each of these locos shoots off to one side, I'm not saying I think you have bad taste in locos or your layout is no good, on the contrary it looks great, i just think i...

Re: Time to Tear It Up & Start Again ! New Steam Layout Pla

The scenery looks great and layout is coming on well, nice collection of locos, nasty overhangs tho, the bends are a bit tight aren't they?

Re: Wenchford

The point motors are the only real bad point so far, i will cover them eventually, i want to get all the track in place and have it working reliably before the scenery takes over. The name Wenchford came from a mate of mine who misheard an announcement on a Southampton to waterloo train and laughed ...

Wenchford Railway- layout to go, open to offers on items

This is my attic railway, i decided to get out all my old locos and stock in 00, sell the N guage and G scale and build a new layout for full length trains in 00, i didn't quite manage full length but i managed to make space for upto 8 coach expresses, this is Wenchford, it's very much a work in pro...
