Re: Starlingford - Back to the East Coast, pg 130

There appears to be something foul of the inside rails in front of that J94! :o

Hopefully the Driver stoped just short of the obstruction...it looks like some kind of Vegitation! (Bit of Tree?).

Even more worryingly - dead giant moth!!!

A dangerous loco, this - I discovered that owning it meant that I came away from my local model railway exhibition with five maroon Hornby Hawksworths and a maroon Bachmann Mk1 RFO...!

Hi folks, glad to see you're having fun! I must say I'm enjoying seeing the ground-level detail come together: http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii283/Blackmarlin84/IMG_2990_zpsyfiibkfq.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii283/Blackmarlin84/IMG_2991_zps8ltcgzjh.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Starlingford - Work Resumes in 2016...pg 129!

Ah! New page, new pics! How about a return to a more natural operating scenario for Starlingford - as an offshoot of the ECML? A J94 on a short freight working passes a long, loaded coal train made up of 5-plank wagons hauled by an O4: http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii283/Blackmarlin84/IMG_2996_...

Re: Starlingford - Work Resumes in 2016...pg 129!

A little worried by that lady ......... it dosen't look like she's wearing stockings Gavin a plea ........ Any way you can hide the 1:1 brickwork ? Geoff T. Re: Starlingford - Work Resumes in 2016...pg 129!

Thanks Bufferstop! I try my best... Although sometimes 'trying' means 'trying things that ultimately don't work'. One such attempt was my decision to add water troughs to Starlingford. You'll see them in the following pictures, but ultimately I had to lift them, because there was one engine that gro...

Re: Starlingford - Introducing the Jubilee & Ivatt C1...pg 1

Hello all! I have been away for some time. Events, as they say, have eventuated, and my modelling activities have been rather regrettably curtailed. I have been working exceedingly long hours to prevent the shutdown of a number of oil rigs (not an exaggeration), and only now that I have had some tim...

Re: Hornby Range 2016

LNER fans, did you spot the Sir Nigel Gresley pack that includes, for the first time, a modern-spec A4 in apple green?

If it was available separately, then hells yes I say; otherwise, as part of a £550 pack...

Re: Black-Marlin's Graving Dock

With the final guns added to the 30Cwt, all that's needed now are some Allied aerial recognition stars. Mine have gone walkabout (I have no idea where they now are) so back to Ebay I shall have to go: http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii283/Blackmarlin84/DSC_0017_zpszzcjmkjl.jpg Oh, and for the rec...

Re: Hornby 2014 speculation thread

Now here's a thing. With Hornby leaking out new product announcements during the year, mainly through their 'Engine Shed' blog, will there be any sort of annual announcement at year end? It could be nothing more than a summary of what they have already dangled in front of those who look at their we...
