Re: Clifton 009 Board 2 Llanwyke

I'm really looking forward to seeing this one develop, as I'm planning a slate quarry on my layout, inspred by (but not a model of) the Dinorwig quarries.

I relly love the other part of this layout, really atmospeheric.

Cheers

Re: My 'N' gauge

Hi This layout looks great. Some great trackwork and detailing. I especial;ly like the tunnel exiting into the cuuting. It looks very natural. All too often you see some track with a 'tunnel' plonked on top, whereas yours looks much more like a natural landscape with a railway line cut through it. I...

Re: Trecarreg - Dave's first layout

Hi All... All the comments and advice I receive on this board are very encouraging. I've learnt a great deal from this forum, thanks to members generously sharing their skills and knowledge. This is the first layout I've built myself. We used to have a 00 layout when I was a kid, which my dad spent ...

Re: Llandublo, a North Wales layout in OO gauge

Ron,

Maybe you could find space on your layout for a model of InfrontCat's Mum's house. Complete with 'live steam' kettle! :)

Re: Llandublo, a North Wales layout in OO gauge

Hi Ron, Nice to see work progressing on Llandublo. I'll be following this thread with interest as I'm keen to see how you do Penmaenmwr quarry. I've not started on my quarry section yet, hopefully you'll be able to provide some pointers and inspiration! Bangor station should be good to model too, as...

Re: Trecarreg - Dave's first layout

I love this layout, It's coming together nicely, I didn't realise that standard hornby? track could be made to look so good, I know that its far from finished yet but I really have enjoyed looking through this thread. Where did you get all the blue foam from, I absolutely love the track that runs t...

Re: 800px Images now allowed

When I preview a post with image codes in, I get the message: "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." Why's this? I'm using photobucket, and as a test I tried using an image that I've posted before and still get the same message. Please Help!! Fixed it. I was havin...

Trecarreg 'N'- Dave's first layout - Progress Pics

Well its been a long timw since I added to this thread. I've had a few eye operations this summer and the recovery does not lend itself to modelling in N scale. I had been working on the controller that I've designed but that had to take a back seat. Instead I've been working on bigger stuff, like m...

Re: Bricket Wood In "N"

Hi Just found this thread. Really nice layout and interesting trackplan. I really like the use of different levels to give depth. No bit of land is COMPLETELY flat, and to me flat models look unrealistic. The use of the expanding foam is inspired! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as it looks as...

Re: GWR Branch Terminus in 'N'

Hi

Great looking little layout. The station looks good, I've just ordered one for my layout, also set in a fictional Welsh town.

Best wishes

Re: Moel Eilio - OO9

Nice model. I love the authentic backscene, and I really like the slate fence. Looks very realistic. I'm gonna steal your idea and try the same on my layout (although such details are still along way off for me!)

Keep it up.
PS, the locos are beautiful

Re: Trecarreg - Dave's first layout

A quick question regarding your curves - what radius is the inner curve? I only ask as I'm working on a similar size plan (2ft wide but possibly onger) right now and am having a spot of bother with my inner loop plan. My 11" radius curves fit the outer loop perfectly and give me sufficient spa...

Re: Trecarreg - Dave's first layout

following this thread I am planning on using Styrofoam too on my baseboard, but quick question: how did you fix the track in place on the foam? JB I used the long thin track pins, and they do the job pretty well as the faom is dense and quite 'grippy'. However, anywhere that there is sideways press...
