Re: Bachmann Tornado support coach

Thanks for the clarification :D ordering a BSK Don't order a BSK!!!!! As it stands Tornado is currently running with Maroon BSK 21268 (Fitted with Commonwealth Bogies). I believe this is (or at least was) the support coach that was going to be used with Royal Scot. Befor this Tornado ran with a BFK...

Re: DCC Consepts Rolling Road, not worth it

I've been using one of these sets for about 6 months at work and have had no problems what-so-ever. I've swapped the scales around very regularly (depending on what i'm testing) and haven't had any issue.

Re: Sheaf Valley Railway (South) - N Gauge Layout for Uni!!

Sadly nothing to update at the current time. Been doing alot more time at work plus currently doing a layout for someone (this is currently running a month late due to a point control issue and lack of time due to working more!). All being well i'll have something to update in the next few weeks or ...

Re: Bittern

The West Coast 47 is timetabled to work on it's own. essentially it follows (or is ahead in some cases) the tour to perform the ECS shunts etc. For example this morning it would have dragged the coaching stock plus bittern into Kings Cross.

Re: What's it like having a layout at an exhibition?

I started going with my club and their layout (Bewdley) to shows. At first i found it very very tiring, purely as we ideally needed three operators but more often than not we only had a few to choose from so for two it was rather hectic! I also got the experience at our clubs open days, although a q...

Given that these were all announced only a few weeks ago i'd say it's a reasonable guess that it'll be late 2012/early 2013 before these start hitting the Shelves.

Re: Cliches of Layouts or Model Railways that you dislike.

For a layout that is at an exhibition the one thing that puts me off a layout is nothing moving. I was recently showing my layout at a show and throughout the whole show me and my fellow operator managed to keep something moving at all times. The compete opposite was true for one layout there, i thi...

Re: Farish Tender Driven Steam Locos

Dapol haven't bought Ixion itself, just the tooling and all current stocks of the Manor. I would imagine Dapol will do some more variants but i'd guess they'll wait so they can make it DCC Ready
