Re: New n gauge idea

http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/sites.shtml is a very useful site for trawling through (go to the bottom of the page and click on one of the letters) - many of them have track plans - in fact you will be spoilt for choice! Yes there's a lot of material there. I'm tempted by one of the small thro...

Re: New n gauge idea

Thanks for that plan Emettman, it's more illuminating than the one I found. Suddenly it looks a bit ambitious. I wonder if I should aim for something smaller and more achievable having not completed a layout yet. I'm also concerned about depicting the station buildings accurately, as they seem far f...

New n gauge idea

Hello, I'm at the very start of planning a new n gauge layout. It will be 1960s to run the class 24 and black 5 that I already own as well as new purchases (any ideas?) I have plenty of flex track from a previously unfinished layout (my first attempt) I want to build a runaround with storage loops. ...

Re: Dynamis locos with same address?

I'm trying to do it with one loco on the track at a time. They have the same address. I'm trying to change address of one loco on mainline now, but when I type in a new number prog icon doesn't appear in the bottom right. Edit: finally got it to work using service track I guess you were trying to e...

Dynamis locos with same address?

Having finally got electricity to my n gauge layout I have been running my black 5 and class 24 for the first time. Both are running okay, now, having sorted out the problem with the black 5 pick-ups. But I can't get the dynamis to see them as two separate locos. They have the same address and I can...

Glad I phoned. They have dispatched it now, next day delivery. And they've only charged me for second class delivery. I think UK buyers are better ordering by phone right now.

Just rung up about my order made yesterday with next day delivery. It hasn't been processed yet. I was told there were problems with the website last night. But shouldn't it have been dispatched by then? She kept telling me it was in a queue waiting to be processed. As I write I received an email co...

Hmm well I've made a bit of progress. All wheels on the locos have been given a good clean, as has the track. Track cleanliness seems to be a big issue with DCC, so I've ordered a Tony's Trains track cleaner from the USA as it is my most hated job. I've worked out how to program loco addresses (no ...

I should think that if you ordered your items with Next Day Delivery you would get them the next day as you would have paid extra for the service! I'm hoping so. it does say if you order before 2pm you get it the next day. It doesn't say it's next day from when they get around to dispatching...

Does anyone know if their guaranteed next day delivery still applies during the backlog? Are they definitely dispatching them the same day?

Bit of a bugger that I didn't get typical service. This was a trial as much as anything, although I needed track. Think I'll buy most of my stuff from Wakefield Model Centre, in person. Bit of a trek, but a enjoyable buying experience. Btw my track turned up today. Just laying it out on my boards. G...

Despite my lack of love for their site, I decided to go ahead and order from Hattons as they seem to get generally good reports. I'm a bit disappointed really. I ordered last Wednesday evening, got a reply saying they try to despatch within one working day. Next I hear is a message sent yesterday te...

You are Sir, quite entitled to your opinion. It is as I reiterate here , one that I disagree with entirely and find Hattons website far better than anything including Rails. That is my opinion to which I am also entitled :-) I bear no malice in my statement and bid you a Happy New Year No malice he...
