Re: New loft build

They are Peco edges. About £4 a pack which has I think 4-5 sections in it. Heat them with a hair dryer or paint stripper heat gun thing then they bend easier. Stuck them done with hot glue from glue gun. Then primed & painted. Nice.

Re: New loft build

Not a great deal to report as I have been distracted with earning my keep at home & work. What a bore. Anyway my cans of spray paint appeared from Pheonix so tonight I had a go at spraying my already primed platform edges. Here are my primed edges - done using grey Halfords plastic primer: http:...

Re: Marks Large Attic Conversion Layout

3 kids dictate i have 5 doors & with a Caterham on jacks I certainly won't be allowed another - although the MX5s I have driven are cracking. Good luck shifting it.

Re: Andrew's Layout

Fantastic work here. Did you take two weeks off work? The platform tops look like like they may be Plastikard? But the edges I am not sure about? Defo not off the shelf though! I'd be disappointed if they were...

Re: New loft build

I am redoing my platforms and am going to use the same side walls that you have employed. Would 3mm mounting board fit between the walls? The lugs at the top are set down by around 1.5mm - 2mm - I was going to use 1mm card and then stick some of this to it: http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/...

Re: New loft build

This is coming along really nicely. Every time you post you seem to have done so much more to your layout. I just find myself posting in my own layout thread about how I am really busy and can't seem to find the time for my layout! :) Thanks for that! I go through spurts of activity. Then nothing f...

Re: New loft build

Bought a limited edition 09 NSE shunter from Signal Box. Waiting for it... In the meantime I have been working on my platforms: http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/lozstlouis/DSC02005.jpg Glued them all down with hot glue from glue gun. They are solid! Used the Peco spacing thing fro height and...
