Re: some help please :)

Hi there, i've decided that i am going to start a small 009 project, based on the terminus on the devils bridge railway in aberystwyth. to get into the hang of kitbuilding/scratchbuilding and generally building a local scene without taking up a whole room. The questions i want to have answered befo...

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

The railcar is something different and looks really at home :) Not being funny, (and excuse my ignorance) - but what's the thing front left? It looks a bit like one of those old fashioned radiators :? Thanks SouthernBoy. Yes it is a radiator. A lot of narrow gauge railcars had them. I guess they we...

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

Been a while since the last update! The small quay on board 3 has been painted and that's about it! My time has been spent making this railcar: http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/Clifton009_2007/Rolling%20Stock/Railcar15.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/Clifton009_2007/Rolling%20Stoc...

Re: 009 Catalogues

Hi is there an 'update' to this and would the graham farish 2-6-2 chassis from their new 3MT or the GWR 61XX fit in The vale of Rheidol loco's? And would Backwoods miniature 0-4-0 chassis fit the Talylln railway 'Tom Rolt' and 'Edward Thomas'? Answers would be very, very, very helpfull. Hi Redleade...

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

Thanks for the comments.

I couldn't decide what type of scenery to have along this section, so I did a bit of each :D

I'll change the blanket for a brown one to replicate the UK waterways

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

A little progress this week.... I've weathered the station building a bit and glued it in position: http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/Clifton009_2007/Board%202/B2StationBuilding6.jpg The station canopy is also now glued in position. Benches & plant tubs added to the platform: http://i268.p...

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

That's nicely put together (can't see any joins!) :) What sort of river are you going for? Rapid flowing round rocks / slow moving tranquil type / dried up bed with a trickle of water down the middle ? Thanks SouthernBoy. Not sure about the water yet, probably slow moving under the middle 2 arches,...

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

I'm sure that viaduct is going to be a nice picturesque run for your trains. The harbour section reminds me of County Gate , (check the harbour section) - have you seen it? I'm not a narrow gauge person really - but seeing layouts of the caliber of County Gate and inventiveness of Clifton, I do som...

Re: Clifton 009 - Llanwyke

I like the fiddle yard, simple but effective. A run of embankment / viaduct will be good: it is to model trains what the cat walk is for fashion models :) Thanks SouthernBoy. I hadn't realised how long it has been since I last updated on here  All the track on board 3 is rust painted now. I h...
