Re: Penzance themed modular layout in N gauge

What a fantastic layout. Not had time to read through it all yet, but from I have seen on this page everything looks superb. You have done some great work on your buildings and scenery.
I must read through it all later.

I wish I could use scarm on an iPad! I don't use the laptop anymore but used to play around with layouts on scarm for ages.

Ollie

Have a look at This website http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/Electrical-2.htm where he explains it quite well. It's quite a way down the page!

Re: First Avenue - Modern OO Freightliner - Now with sound

Time for an update! Although I have been quiet on here for a few weeks, I have continued to make progress on the layout. The backboards have been painted a blue/white colour, although I will probably need to go over this again and make it a little bluer. I have been playing around with a photo backs...

Re: cutting flexi track

I always used a Dremel disc type cutter, but recently bought a razor saw and I am very impressed with how quick and straight it cuts.
Now I use the Dremel for cutting track to length that hasn't been laid yet, or the razor saw for trimming track that is in place.

Re: Skittle Falls - Under Construction

I like the look of that lamp you are making. Is it going to have shades of some sort or will you paint the tops of the LEDs?

The industrial unit looks great Kev. I keep thinking of buying it but really don't have anywhere to put it!

Re: Thinking of DCC for my next layout.

Hi PF Welcome to the mad world of DCC. I have a very basic DCC system, the Hornby Select (one of those "train set" systems) and it has been fine or me for a few years. I have now started fitting sound to my locos so I am looking to upgrade, possibly to NCE Powercab so that I can adjust CV ...

Re: Unnamed 00 in a bedroom - My story & some artwork

Your layout is coming along nicely Chris, and your sketches are excellent! I see you have a few wires loosely laid around the layout still. Are you going to drill through and feed the wires underneath soon? Amazing how much better it will start to look once you tidy up little bits like that. Keep us...

Re: Wolford - Rebuild

You've made a neat job of the security fencing Kevin. I found it a bit of a nightmare trying to make a neat job of mine on First Avenue. What did you use for the barbed wire at the top?
The dock cobbles look quite effective too.

Hi Mark

Great looking layout you have there. I was really surprised when I noticed it was actually N gauge. The station canopies are superb giving some structure to the layout without obscuring the view.
Great work.

Re: First Avenue - Modern OO Freightliner - Now with sound

After all the fun of the sound loco last week, I thought I had better crack on with something productive this weekend so I have completed the scalescenes concrete bridge that I started quite a while ago. I have sprayed the end panel under the bridge in a matt black and I just need to glue the bridge...
