well i tried that last time, the guy from the place i went to said not to use glue cuz it swamps the fibres, but to use paint, but i tried that on the last layout and it all flops down and looks crap

ive done a bit of landscaping, ive mod-roc-ed up to the halt and siding, just waiting to get to charlies for more hanging basket liner and glue and ill make a start on it, and because the bed of the river has been mod-roc-ed, i can finish the bridge as a next job, still got the car park to do though...

yeah you get the new chassis block with the kit, the layouts going ok, havent done much than more track weathering and lay down piles of ballast because ive been working on my new 40 gallon fish tank, which is right behind the right side of the layout so i can work whilst looking at me fish!

nope not that one, just checked, it was june 2008, page 392-395 titled 'Elusive elements'

i was thinking scatter, but with all the scatter around the track AND on the platform, i thought the car park aswell may over do it. i thought to do a layer of filler then paint because a layout in last months *i think?* Railway Modeller that a narrow gauge layout did it that way and it looked reall...

thats what i mean, paint would come out a very obvious clean white line, while power would look a bit more realistic, plus i can brush dirt over it which would look better still

yeah, ive been thinking about the car park and how to make that look a bit more real than a black floor with painted white lines. ive decided that after painting the floor (in a very light grey) ill brush some different colours over and weather it a bit, then for the car park lines, mask off the lin...

thats the latest plan for the extension: http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd42/Blaqkaudio009/2008juneplan2.jpg the loco and carriage sheds will hopefully be 'built into the mountain edge', but the track will continue out the back so i can store the wagons and carriages all in there.
