Re: Underpass - A new HO layout
Coming along well. That final photo showing the loco by the pillar is great, the gravel with the dead grass is nice scenic work and detail. A bit more action going on (loading platforms etc) and this layout is going to have quite the sense of realism. Cheers, Josh That's the next step before the ov...

Re: Underpass - A new HO layout
That's an interesting idea, but I feel it may be a bit too meta for the layout.
It's designed very much like a theatre, offering only a snapshot or slice of a particular area. But I like your thinking.

Thank you for the kind words Chops.
Although I'm not sure which bit you are referring to about the card stock?

Re: Underpass - A new HO layout
The overhead shot was to show the track plan. The top will eventually be boxed in so you can only view it from the front at track level. I'm much the same as you, viewing the world from the trackside.

Re: Underpass - A new HO layout
Thank you Josh.
I'm sorry I haven't been around much for a while now, but work has continued on the layout.

That was the original track plan that I had printed out before I made a few changes.

They are kitbashes of Walthers Cornerstone buildings, 4 different kits in total.

Underpass - A new HO layout
Well hello! It looks like it has been nearly two years since I was last here! In that time I've changed job, got older, but not wiser, and completed two narrow gauge layouts and sold them, and now I'm back to my first love, North American railroads. Set in the mid to late 70's, Underpass is a grimy,...

Re: Diving into 009
I've spent yesterday evening pushing along with my tiny micro. Just placing things here and there to see what works. There will be more buildings and trees to add to reduce the obvious oval look. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff134/robstrachan/IMG_20181002_225130.jpg http://i23...

Diving into 009
Good evening good people, So after bowing out of modelling for a little while, I have returned to it once again. I had started a Gn15 layout, but this has since been abandoned due to the simple fact that a scale tree in Gn15 works out at 4ft tall! I wanted several on the layout and this seemed diffi...
