OO British Railways transfer

Can anyone suggest a supplier for one of these to fit an A4 tender?
Im after a cream one to use on an experimental purple/ultramarine model.
I managed to find the red/cream lining at Modelmaster but not the writing.

Re: I must stop spending!

My total spent was
£29.99 outstanding balance on a TTS Gadwall A4
£10.99 on some Corgi trackside DIY vehicles.
Ok, whilst not "cured", still a big improvement from my past.

Re: More eBay nonsense...........

If you go there expecting to be ripped off, sometimes it can be nixe when you get a decent item.
I keep vowing not to buy another loco from there.
I recently picked up a RR Scotsman & have changed it to "Papyrus", though the running gear is a bit dubious, but it was about £30.

Re: Silver Jubilee

This was precisely why I took a gamble & bought 2509 when it got its initial release & stuff the costs. That A4 dressed up in "Silverlink" Jubilee livery was pretty hard to resist. Impossibly so if an LNER fan I expect. Interestingly, much as I genuinely like the Silver Jubilee li...

Re: Silver Jubilee

Something ever salient in mind in these winter years, is that if I want something specific model rail, I'd best buy it when it releases and is available, as I have noticed an interval of several years before that product or even a like substitute is produced again if I don't. This was precisely why...

Re: I must stop spending!

That ruddy ridiculously low priced 3F early crest at Hattons is massively tempting. I had one a while ago, didn't think Id miss it, but the magnificent detailing for less than a Hornby RR model screams "Buy me: you'll regret it if you dont!" I don't even model anything Mids or LMS but well...

Colour query

My apologies but I couldn't find the topic on the Hornby RR "Falcon" model, but this applies to some other models as well. I looked at my proposed conversion of a LNER 4484 Falcon to 4464 Bittern & came up with a "simple" idea to save a whole lot of stripping down the numeral...

Re: Heljan Class 35 Hymek. Any good?

The blue one with the white window surrounds & a small yellow panel looks excellent.
Perhaps my favourite livery for this loco. Doesn't look as good with the later yellow or the earlier plain blue

Re: Which green DMU with speed whiskers??

Having read this, I truly regret selling my green 105
On the flipside, I'll find a good green 2-car set sometime.

Re: Heljan Class 35 Hymek. Any good?

The old Triang one was a 1966 release and, while definitely not as good as the Heljan one, it has actually stood the test of time reasonably well. I have one with the original non-ringfield motor bogie style which I have double-motored, through-wired, converted to DCC and detailed up a bit with sep...

Re: More eBay nonsense...........

Ive had a few recent issues with sellers on there. The only exception has been a helpful guy who sent me some replacement buffers as I was missing one from a RR class 40. Granted, the buffer didn't fit but does now. At least he acknowledged there was a problem & acted on it. Also had an issue wi...

Re: Any Model Shops in Sunderland/Newcastle

And a pub meal at the Shepherd/Shepherdess outside of Beamish around lunchtime is good value.
They did two meals at lunchtime for around a tenner.

Re: Any Model Shops in Sunderland/Newcastle

Skyblue & PeterM have mentioned the two I was going to suggest.
Both are very good & I visited them when I was up in April.
DTOS is perhaps a bit of a hike, but IS worth it. Just check the opening times, cos he's closed on Weds & Suns.
