Re: Enlarging old photograpths

thanks k9-70 but sticking it at that resolution would create a file about 700meg according to my scanner and it would be one hell of an e-mail 8) God knows how you managed to make out any more numbers because i can't, but if it is the LNWR 1P CLASS, i think it should be 66-- or 67-- No problem abou...

Re: Enlarging old photograpths

The next two. Not sure about this one. 2-4-2 and I'm guessing a LNWR Loco. Can make out a 6 under the grime but thats about it. http://images.cupwinkcook.net/images/scanneiri.jpg Your image above is a LNWR 2-4-2T in LMS livery, see link below. On the tankside you can make out the letters L.M and 64...

Re: Tighter curve than R628?

Hi people. I'm currently adding a 4th track to my station but want to bring 2 of the tracks closer which are linked via a peco point. At the moment I have a R628 curve but is there a tighter curve I can use to bring the parallel tracks together? Use Peco Flexi-Track, it will fit the bill perfectly ...

Re: Ancient Triang Hornby Dock Shunter

Did you remember to replace the two Thrust Balls (part No. S5096) inside the Spherical Bearing (part No. S5104) before replacing the armature ?

http://www.hornbyguide.com/service_shee ... sheetid=28

The thrust balls help keep the armature worms central to the drive gear on the axles.

Re: Very Juddery Scotsman

Good advise already given above.
After trying those suggestions and your FS is still running no better,
try adjusting the Back EMF values.
Set the following CV's 54 & 55 to
CV 54 - 05 & CV 55 - 55.

Work up or down in steps of 5 until you get your FS to run smoothly.

Re: Mainline Class 45s

Bought one of these dirt cheap (yes, I know they need to be :P ) at a local swap meet. My problem isn't so much the mechanism (I know it's dodgy but it will pull three-four car trains which is all my current layout can fit) but derailments. The lead axle in each direction (the small one) has a mind...

Re: Can anyone tell me what class this is??

Didn't notice the bell at the front of the smokebox.

Ok, not Lima,

The photo shows the tender pick up below the cab, so it must be this one;
Hornby R737 6000 King George V BR Blue, bell on front (mfd 1996-97)

Yeap thats the Lima model of the ex-GWR King George V. The item is very common on ebay you could prob pick up a working locomotive for around £20 Sorry mate, that's not 6000 King George V. It's 6009 King Charles II (mfd 1978). L205103 #6000 King George V GWR Green L205104 #6009 King Charles II BR B...

Re: Difference Between DCC Chips

No manual for your decoder ? there's plenty of manuals for the TCS decoder at the link below.
Funny, but I don't see one for the M2 decoder.
