Re: Kent coast in N. BR(S) 3rd rail

Looks the business! - nice touch of realism running an engine with the third rail pick-up - just looks wrong without it!

Re: East Cheltwell

A brief update - I had a couple of hours to spare and continued with some bits and bobs! This is an overall picture of East Cheltwell - it does need tidying up a bit  http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii211/Eastern_photos/IMG_9437.jpg Anyhow off to the engine shed! I have been applying base l...

Re: Castell Mawr - A joint GWR/LMS route

I just had a quick skim through and Castell Mawr is looking great! Would love to see a little more closely how you made the carry frames. I also really like the curved sweep of the platforms - I've done something similar with East Cheltwell -(including ripping it all up!) and think it adds that litt...

Re: East Cheltwell

Thanks Gentlemen! - how avaliable is UK model kit in the US where you are? I mostly buy off ebay, ( Buy it Now ) or occasionally order from Hattons etc - by doing this I don't pay VAT which typically covers the cost of postage to the US. For most scenic items, I visit my local model shop. For DCC it...

Re: East Cheltwell

Hello all - finally an update which I have been meaning to do for awhile - I have had a few running sessions, but not alot else. Pretty uneventful until a short at a point suddenly caused all the locos to start running at once - two casualties - a knackered Mainline Mark 1 coach and a slightly dente...

Re: Frankland: N gauge Southern Railway

I can just imagine the bustle! - as for East Cheltwell - I have been running a few trains recently and hope to have an update of sorts soon - too many family and work commitments.

Re: Frankland: N gauge Southern Railway

Such exquisite work - and amazing attention to all those wonderful details. I really felt I was looking down at a real scene – Will you be populating at some point - I can just imagine the stories they would tell!

Re: Wilfredston - Loft Layout

Looking good as it comes together - I think you are 100% right on tweaking and trying out different track plans rather than rushing in and nailing it all down. If possible, perhaps try a few running sessions to see if the end result is what you want!

Re: Peter Verheyen's DB/DR Era 3-5 AC layout

Cheers! Thanks for the info. And updates. I managed to run a few trains recently on my layout, East Cheltwell; unfortunately, a short at a point suddenly caused all the locos to start running at once - two casualties - a knackered Mainline Mark 1 coach and a slightly dented Merchant Navy which took ...

Re: Peter Verheyen's DB/DR Era 3-5 AC layout

Looking good! Are the flowers Noch or Heki? They always looked quite fiddly to make. How was the layout after a year? Re: electrics and running? I ask as I am in a similar position with my layout

Re: Dirty pit stuff!

Seriously good! (especially the black and white) The back scene also creates the realistic illusion of depth which makes a great pic. Thanks!

Re: The Welton Layout - FOR SALE! New video & photos

For those interested, but couldn't do the local pick-up - how much would it cost to hire (or borrow) a van to deliver with a tank of petrol - this would eat into any profit, but may just be the teaser to encourage a bite? (and you may realise a higher price?)
