Re: REVIEW- Hornby Railroad County

to be historically accurate, you wouldn't have seen any County's pre war ( F W Hawksworth design from 1942), but it's your own personal preference to what you run on your layout, Hope this helps cheers Stu Yes I just noticed from reading Wiki. I do want to get one, but I wouldn't want it to stick o...

Re: REVIEW- Hornby Railroad County

Excellent. Would it require much to turn it to pre-World War 2 livery and how good a runner are these?

Re: Starlingford - Picture Perfect, pg 103

The LNER ROD looks great with those Lowmacs. You ever seen the MOD WGC Tank Carrier at Bo'ness at all? Rather interesting wagons. The SVR has one too but not as good as Bo'ness. Re: Mighty's 00 Loft Layout - cessation of services

Ah yes Mighty I forgot the T9 which I have as well in Southern Black and I have pre-ordered the Beattie Well Tank. I intend on pre-ordering the O2 when I get the Beattie. I do already a SR Z Class and she is a beauty.

Re: Mighty's 00 Loft Layout - cessation of services

Southern N Classes are one of the best models I have seen Bachmann do in a long time. This is because it is a pre-grouping design (SECR) and they possess such a charm about them. All I need now is Modelzone's N Class in Southern Black and I will have what I want of the N class. I find it a shame tha...

Re: Starlingford - Picture Perfect, pg 103

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii283/Blackmarlin84/A1TornadoFullTrain.jpg I like this pic :D . Especially because you utilise all the available space you have. I like the fact that even though there is a brick prodding out, you place your layout around it. I plan to do these with my layout when...

Re: GWR Horseboxes

I do have a LMS Horsebox in my collection, although mine is a kitbuilt version from what I know. If you want a picture of it I can do one.

Re: Starlingford - Picture Perfect, pg 103

How many wagons did you have behind your N Class out of interest? I do like the LMS Australia too, I bought myself one from D&H Models in Glasgow not so long ago. The Jubilees are something indeed. Also in regards to my signature I am struggling to solve what is wrong with it, can you tell me wh...

Re: LMS Beyer Garratt at Hattons

Although I have seen one a many photos of these fine engines hauling PO wagons, would these have ever took vans or tanks along with their trains? I have seen one photo in LMS & LNER Garratts by R.J. Essery on p40 which shows LMS 4985 hauling a goods which includes a GWR Iron Mink two wagons away...

Re: GWR 38xx 2-8-0

I have been tempted to get one of these myself. But the similarities to that of their predecessors the 28XX, I just think it would sitting around doing nothing. They however look amazing. The detail which now goes into these models is outstanding.
